Samira Alssaedi
It’s me, Samira.
My life has never been straight. Sometimes there were detours. Sometimes the path went in circles, but in any case, it led me to where I am now. That doesn’t mean my path came to an end. I am still learning, growing and exploring all the different nuances life has to offer.
All my life I had the desire to understand the meaning of life. From backpacking and sleeping under open sky on beaches to yoga classes, finally my path led me to India, where I traveled on my own for several months. I did yoga teacher training in Rishikesh and went on a silent retreat, called Vipassana, in Bodhgaya, deeply immersing in meditation.
“If your compassion doesn’t include yourself, it’s incomplete.”
Jack Kornfield
When I returned home, it was clear to me that I wanted to continue living an authentic spiritual life. I did a radical change and moved to a temple community in Bavaria, where I spent two years living in an ashram and intensely practicing Bhakti Yoga, the path of love and devotion. Meanwhile, I was struggling a lot with low self-esteem and the feeling that I don’t deserve happiness, as I believed that life is always a struggle. It took me almost all of my life to realize that self-love is the foundation of everything. So simple, yet so profound.
Once I started to walk the path of healing consciously, I was able to make remarkable positive changes in my consciousness, gradually building a healthy, loving, and compassionate relationship with myself.
Your Heart knows the way. Run in that direction.

Happiness is not something you have to earn. It’s already there!
Often times we suffer, because we don’t know who we are and we are not following our higher purpose in life. We are not living a life that is aligned with our true nature. We all deserve to be happy and we all get the chance to consciously choose which direction to go. In the present lies the power. I invite you to not let your fear hold you back from exploring the path of self-discovery. You deserve happiness at any given moment. Happiness is not something you have to earn. It’s already there!
“If we don’t love ourselves, we will always be chasing it from others.” – Gay Hendricks
To make a change we have to care about ourselves. Self-care means to live in integrity with our values. It means to raise our awareness by recognizing our negative thought patterns and creating an internally and externally positive environment. When we really care for ourselves we will never do anything that will hurt us.
Have you ever heard the phrase ‘our thoughts create our reality’? It’s so true! More self-care will empower us in every aspect of our life. You are worth making the effort to overcome your challenges.
